I think it's very good, and can't see many things I'd change at all.

My eye goes right to his gaze -- not quite to his eyes, to the spot just in front of them. And it's a wonderful, mysterious, focused, deep gaze.

It could be a very colourless piece, but that blue comes in at just the right point. Where the eye goes. Enough to un-bleaken it. Not enough to diminish the harshness of the desert.

Hair is beautiful. Flawless, in this one. It adds a lot and takes away nothing.

The ruined columns roll away into the distance -- and they work with his gaze, obviously, but they add depth to the picture. Ancient ruins rolling away like that seem to say something. They -- put him in context, perhaps.

The only thing I'd really change is the hawk's eye. He's a lovely fellow: wings sweeping wide as the expanse around him and oversized claws planting the whole picture firmly in Warcraft. But I want a little more from his eye. Zayid has this deep, deep, gaze on the hawk, and the hawk reciprocates little.

I love it, though. Really nice.

I forgot you were here, and this comment was a very nice surprise. I think I like it here even more, because that way I get to be able to read it again whenever I want in the future, rather than losing it in the chatter.

As ever, I'm a bit speechless; I can only say that like all your pointers, this teaches me a lot and makes me want to get better - all of it suddenly 'sits' better in my mind; you put to words what I couldn't point out or even tell I liked. You also make it sound better than it is, I think; like a poem.

The hawk's eye is a really good pointer, and I missed it entirely. I'll have to do some research and see how I can make it worthy of that ferocious gaze you described. Thanks a lot.

Thank you. I'm actually not too happy with it; I'll have to do some thinking and see what I could have done better. I'm a bit ill in the past two days so haven't been as relentlessly doing art as before; and I couldn't think up ways to improve it, but the client was real happy with it, so that's good, at least.
